    Getting There

    Public Transit

    From San Mateo, walk to the nearest Caltrain station, San Mateo Station. Once there, purchase a ticket to the San Francisco 4th and King Street station. The train ride takes approximately 30 minutes. When you arrive at 4th and King, exit the station and walk to the Muni light rail station. Take the Muni T line towards Chinatown. After 4 stops, get off at the Castro station. From there, it's a short walk to The Castro, located at San Francisco, CA 94114.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in San Mateo. Then head west towards the Bay Trail. Follow the trail north along the coastline until you reach the San Francisco Bay Bridge. Once you enter San Francisco, follow the signs to The Castro neighborhood.
