From San Mateo, walk to the nearest SamTrans bus stop. Take the SamTrans Route 292 towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the 'Broadway & Montgomery' stop. From there, walk east on Broadway toward Montgomery Street, then turn left onto Montgomery Street. Continue walking until you reach Filbert Street, then turn right. Washington Square Park will be on your left, at the intersection of Filbert St & Stockton Street.

Public Transport - Caltrain
Walk to the San Mateo Caltrain station and board a northbound train to San Francisco. The trip takes about 30 minutes. Disembark at the 4th and King Street station. From there, transfer to the Muni N-Judah light rail towards Ocean Beach. Get off at the 'Embarcadero & Ferry Building' stop. From the Ferry Building, walk north on The Embarcadero, then turn left onto Bay Street until you reach the intersection with Stockton Street. Washington Square Park will be straight ahead at Filbert Street.
