Walking
From downtown Santa Barbara, head south on State Street towards the ocean. State Street ends at Cabrillo Boulevard, where you'll see the Dolphin Fountain. Turn left onto Cabrillo Boulevard and walk east for a few minutes. Stearns Wharf will be on your left. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes and offers scenic views of the beach.

The MTD Downtown-Waterfront Shuttle provides service to Stearns Wharf. Check the MTD website for the most up-to-date route and schedule information. As of May 2025, a one-way fare is $0.50, and a one-day pass is $1.

Driving
From Highway 101, exit at Garden Street (Exit 96B). Turn towards the ocean and drive south on Garden Street until you reach Cabrillo Boulevard. Turn right onto Cabrillo Boulevard, and Stearns Wharf will be on your left. Parking is available on the wharf for $4 per hour, with a daily maximum of $40. The first 90 minutes are free. Alternatively, parking is available in nearby public lots along Cabrillo Boulevard for $3.50 per hour, with a maximum daily rate of $20.
