    Getting There

    Walking

    From the Santa Barbara Waterfront, walk south on State Street towards the beach. Continue until you reach Cabrillo Boulevard. Turn right and walk west along Cabrillo Boulevard. After a half-mile, look for the entrance to East Beach. Walk along the beach path until you reach the end of the beach area. Follow the path leading to the bluffs of Shoreline Park. Walk west along the path until you reach Point Castillo. This walk is approximately 1 mile round trip and is relatively flat.

    Public Transport

    From downtown Santa Barbara, take the MTD bus line 1 or 20 towards the beach. Get off at the stop closest to Cabrillo Blvd and Shoreline Drive. Walk along Shoreline Drive to Point Castillo. Bus fare is approximately $1.75.

    Driving

    From Highway 101, take the Castillo Street exit. Turn right onto Castillo Street. Turn left onto Shoreline Drive (Cabrillo Boulevard). Continue straight, and you will find the entrance to the Point Castillo area on the right. Limited street parking is available; be aware of parking restrictions. City parking lots offer 75 minutes free, then $3.00 per hour, up to a $33 daily maximum.
