Walking
Starting from the Santa Barbara Waterfront, head south on State Street towards the beach. Continue until you reach Cabrillo Boulevard. Turn right and walk west along Cabrillo Boulevard, enjoying the view of the ocean on your left. After about a half-mile, look for the entrance to East Beach. Continue walking along the beach path until you reach the end of the beach area. At the end, you will see a path leading to the Bluffs at Shoreline Park. Follow the trail up to the bluffs, where you can enjoy scenic views of the coastline. Once you are at the top of the bluffs, walk along the path heading west until you reach Point Castillo, which is located at the end of the bluffs, offering stunning views of the ocean and the Channel Islands.

From downtown Santa Barbara, catch the MTD bus line 2 or 3 towards the beach. Get off at the stop near East Beach. From there, walk west along Cabrillo Boulevard. After about a half-mile, enter East Beach and continue walking along the beach path. Follow the path to the end of the beach and look for the trail leading up to the bluffs of Shoreline Park. Ascend to the top of the bluffs and proceed west along the path until you reach Point Castillo for breathtaking ocean views.
