Walking
From the center of Montecito, head southwest on Coast Village Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with San Ysidro Road. Turn left onto San Ysidro Road and continue walking until you reach the end of the road. You will see a sign directing you to the beach access. Follow the trail that leads down to the beach. Point Castillo is located along the shoreline, approximately 0.5 miles down the beach from this access point. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!

Catch the MTD bus (Line 20) from any stop along Coast Village Road heading towards Santa Barbara. Get off at the 'Butterfly Beach' stop. From there, walk south along the beach, and you will reach Point Castillo in about 15 minutes.
