Getting There

Public Transit

If you are in downtown Santa Barbara, head to the nearest MTD (Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District) bus stop. You can catch the Line 6 bus towards the Eastside. The bus will take you along State Street. After about 15 minutes, get off at the stop near the intersection of State Street and Ninos Drive. From there, walk east on Ninos Drive for about 5 minutes. The Santa Barbara Zoo will be on your left at 500 Ninos Dr.
Walking

If you're staying near the East Beach area, head to Ninos Drive. Walk north towards the beach, and you will find the Santa Barbara Zoo along the waterfront. It's a pleasant 10-minute walk as you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the beach on your way.
Bicycle Rental

You can rent a bike from one of the local shops in downtown Santa Barbara. Once you have your bike, ride east on Cabrillo Blvd, which runs along the beach. After about 1 mile, turn left onto Ninos Drive. Continue on Ninos Drive for a short distance, and the Santa Barbara Zoo will be on your right at 500 Ninos Dr.
