If you're starting from Santa Clara, make your way to the nearest VTA Light Rail station. The closest station is the Santa Clara Transit Center located at 1000 E Santa Clara St. Take the Green Line towards Old Ironsides. After about 15 minutes, get off at the San Jose Civic Center Station. Once you exit the station, head east on E San Fernando St toward S 1st St. Continue straight until you reach S Market St, then turn left. The Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph will be on your right at 80 S Market St.

If you're already in downtown Santa Clara, you can walk to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph. Head east on E Santa Clara St towards S 1st St. Continue on E Santa Clara St for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with S Market St. Turn right onto S Market St, and the Cathedral will be on your left at 80 S Market St.

From Santa Clara, you can also take a VTA bus. Look for bus routes that head towards San Jose. The 22 or 522 routes are good options. Board the bus at your nearest stop and ride to the San Jose Diridon Station. From there, transfer to the VTA Light Rail Green Line towards Old Ironsides. Get off at the San Jose Civic Center Station, then walk east on E San Fernando St to S Market St, and turn left. The Cathedral Basilica is at 80 S Market St.
