Getting There

  • Public Transport

    Several public transportation options can get you to California's Great America. VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) light rail trains and buses arrive daily from points throughout Santa Clara County. Take the VTA Light Rail Green or Orange Line to the Great America-Santa Clara station. From the station, it's a short walk to the California's Great America entrance. A single VTA fare costs $2.50. Alternatively, Amtrak and ACE (Altamont Commuter Express) trains arrive daily at the Great America station. Just show a valid same day Capitol Corridor train ticket to the bus operator or fare inspector. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) users can take the #140, #141 or #180 VTA bus from the Fremont Bart station. Caltrain connects to the VTA light rail at the Mountain View Caltrain station. Accessible courtesy transportation/wheelchair service is available from the VTA Great America Light Rail station to the Stadium's west gates.     If driving, take US-101 to the Great America Parkway exit. Follow Great America Parkway to the park entrance. Parking at California's Great America costs $35 per vehicle. Pre-purchasing online can save a few dollars. A drop-off area is located just past the entrance on Great America Parkway. Limited handicap parking spaces are available near the front gate on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Ride-Share/Taxi

    A ride-share or taxi to California's Great America will cost approximately $15-$25 from anywhere in Santa Clara, depending on the distance and demand. California's Great America, which opened in 1976, has a rich history, evolving from Marriott's Great America to Paramount's Great America before becoming California's Great America under Cedar Fair ownership.
