Public Transit
From Santa Monica Pier, walk to the Santa Monica Blue Line Station located at 4th St & Colorado Ave. Take the Metro Expo Line towards Downtown LA. Get off at the Expo/Crenshaw Station, then transfer to the Metro Bus 217 towards Hollywood. Alight at the stop near Griffith Park (look for the stop with signs indicating Griffith Park). Follow the signs to the park entrance.
Bicycle
Rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops in Santa Monica. Head east on Colorado Ave towards 2nd St. Turn left onto 2nd St and then right onto Wilshire Blvd. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with La Cienega Blvd. Turn left and follow La Cienega Blvd, which becomes N Highland Ave. Follow the signs for Griffith Park once you reach the area.
Walking
If you are near the Santa Monica Promenade, start at 3rd St Promenade and head east towards Wilshire Blvd. Cross Wilshire Blvd to reach 4th St. Continue on 4th St heading south until you reach the Santa Monica Blue Line Station. From there, take the Metro Expo Line to Downtown LA, then transfer to the Metro Bus 217 to reach Griffith Park.
