Consider street parking on Ocean Avenue, keeping in mind that metered parking costs $2.50 per hour.

Several Big Blue Bus lines (3, 4, 7, 8, 9) and Metro Bus lines (33, 534, 720) stop near the pier at Ocean Avenue and Colorado Avenue. From the bus stop, walk west onto the pier. The Looff Hippodrome will be on your right. A single ride on the Big Blue Bus costs $1.25, and a Metro Bus ride is $1.75.

From the I-10 Freeway, exit at 4th Street and turn left onto Colorado Avenue. Proceed west on Colorado Avenue. To park directly on the pier, take the ramp down at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Colorado Avenue. Alternatively, continue past the pier entrance and turn right onto Appian Way for access to beach parking lots (Lot 1 North). Parking rates on the pier and in beach lots range from $7 to $18 per day, depending on the season and day of the week. Metered parking is available on Ocean Avenue for $2.50 per hour.
