Driving
From McCloud, head west on Highway 89 towards Mount Shasta. After approximately 5 miles, turn right onto Signal Butte Road. Follow Signal Butte Road for about a mile; the switchback area will be on your left. Parking is limited, especially during peak season. Consider carpooling or arriving early. There are no fees for parking or accessing the site.
Public Transport
From Mount Shasta, take the Siskiyou Transit bus towards McCloud. Get off at the 'Across from McCloud Post Office' stop in McCloud. From there, you can either take a taxi (approximately $20-$30) or walk/hike. The walk is approximately 5 miles and will take you along Highway 89 and then Signal Butte Road. Check the Siskiyou Transit schedule for current fares and times, as the bus runs limited services five times a week, Monday to Friday. Bus fare is approximately $2-$4.
