Getting There

Public Bus
From downtown Redwood City, walk to the Redwood City Caltrain Station located at 2001 Broadway St. Take the Caltrain southbound towards Gilroy. Get off at the Los Gatos station. From there, transfer to the #81 bus at the nearby bus stop. The bus will take you towards Castle Rock State Park. Make sure to get off at the stop closest to the park entrance, which is along CA-35.

Bicycle
Start at the Redwood City downtown area and head towards the Bay Trail. Follow the Bay Trail south until you reach the intersection with CA-280. Take the bicycle path that leads towards Los Gatos. Continue along the designated bike paths and local streets until you reach Castle Rock State Park, located at 15451 CA-35.

Walking
Walking to Castle Rock State Park is quite a trek, so it is recommended to take public transport or a bicycle. However, if you choose to walk, head south from downtown Redwood City towards the Caltrain station, then take the train to Los Gatos. From the Los Gatos station, it is about a 3-mile walk to the park entrance. Follow Los Gatos Boulevard south until you reach CA-35, then follow the signs to the park.
