Getting There

  • Driving

    From Stockton, take CA-4 W. Continue on CA-4 W to Terminous Road. Turn right onto Terminous Road. Continue onto W Brannan Island Road. Drive along the road until you arrive at Disappointment Slough. There is no dedicated parking lot, find a safe place to park alongside the road. Parking is free.

  • Public Transport

    From the Stockton Transit Center, take the San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) bus route towards the Delta area. Check the latest bus schedules for routes that will take you close to the waterfront. Get off at a stop near W Channel St, and from there, walk south towards the Delta Waterways. Follow signs directing you to the nature trails to reach Disappointment Slough. Bus fare is approximately $2.50.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bike, start at the Stockton Transit Center. Head east on E Weber Ave towards N Center St, then turn left onto N Center St. Continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach E Main St. Turn right onto E Main St and bike across the bridge over the San Joaquin River. After crossing, stay on W Main St to reach the waterfront area. Follow the waterfront bike path southward, eventually leading you to W Channel St. Turn left onto W Channel St. Continue biking until you enter the Delta Waterways region, where you can access trails that will lead you to Disappointment Slough.
