Getting There
Walking
From the center of Tahoe City, head east on Highway 89 towards the intersection with Highway 28. Turn left onto Highway 28 and walk approximately 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 50. Continue straight as this will merge onto Highway 50. Follow the road for about 3 miles until you see the signs for Cave Rock. The walk is scenic, and you will have views of the lake along the way.
Biking
Start at Tahoe City and rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Head east on Highway 89, then turn left onto Highway 28. Follow Highway 28 for about 2 miles until it merges with Highway 50. Continue on Highway 50 for about 3 miles. There are bike lanes available for most of this route, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
