From downtown Temecula, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) Route 79 bus towards 'Murrieta – Temecula.' Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach the 'Temecula Park & Ride' stop. Transfer to the OCTA Route 1 bus heading towards 'Laguna Niguel.' After about 45 minutes to 1 hour, get off at the 'Dana Point Harbor' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk south on Dana Point Harbor Dr to reach Doheny State Beach at 25300 Dana Point Harbor Dr.

If you're up for a bike ride, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Temecula. Start your journey by heading south on Ynez Rd until you reach the intersection with Rancho California Rd. Turn right onto Rancho California Rd and continue until you reach the I-15 overpass. Follow the bike lanes as you cross over the freeway and continue south until you reach the coast. Once you arrive at Pacific Coast Hwy, turn right and follow the signs to Dana Point. Finally, turn left onto Dana Point Harbor Dr and continue until you reach Doheny State Beach.

If you prefer walking, you can take a leisurely stroll down Temecula's Main Street and enjoy the local shops and restaurants. From Main St, head towards Ynez Rd and walk south. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rancho California Rd. Follow Rancho California Rd for a scenic route to the coast. As you approach the beach area, turn right onto Pacific Coast Hwy, then left onto Dana Point Harbor Dr. Walk for about 20 minutes to reach Doheny State Beach.
