Public Bus
From the Temecula Transit Center, board the Route 52 bus heading towards the Murrieta area. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes and get off at the stop at Winchester and Auld Rd. From there, you will need to walk about 1.5 miles to Lake Skinner Recreation Area. Head east on Auld Rd until you reach Warren Rd, then turn left. Continue on Warren Rd until you see the entrance to Lake Skinner on your left.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, start from the Temecula City Hall. Head north on Main St towards Old Town, then turn left onto Jefferson Ave. Follow Jefferson Ave to Winchester Rd, then take a right. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Warren Rd, then turn left. Lake Skinner Recreation Area will be on your right after about 6 miles. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
Ride-Sharing Service (like Uber or Lyft)
Open your ride-sharing app and set Lake Skinner Recreation Area as your destination. The address is 37701 Warren Rd, Winchester, CA 92596. The driver will pick you up from your current location in Temecula and take you directly to the park. The ride usually takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic.
Walking
If you are staying in the nearby area, you can walk to Lake Skinner Recreation Area. From the nearest landmark, like the Temecula Public Library, head east on Pauba Rd towards Winchester Rd. Turn right onto Winchester Rd and continue walking for about 3 miles. Once you reach the intersection with Warren Rd, turn left and walk about half a mile until you reach the entrance of Lake Skinner on your left.
