To reach the Samuel Oschin Telescope from downtown Temecula, start by walking to the nearest bus stop at Temecula City Hall. Board the Route 79 bus heading north towards Hemet. After approximately 25 minutes, get off at the stop at State Route 76 and Pala Road. From there, you will need to transfer to the Route 375 bus, which services the Palomar Observatory area. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop near Canfield Road. Walk approximately 0.5 miles up Canfield Road until you see the signs for the Samuel Oschin Telescope on your left.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Temecula. Start your journey by heading east on Rancho California Road. Follow signs for the scenic route towards Palomar Mountain. The ride is approximately 15 miles and will take you through beautiful landscapes. Once you reach the Palomar Mountain area, look for Canfield Road and follow it until you arrive at the Samuel Oschin Telescope. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated!

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can start your journey from the center of Temecula. Head north on Ynez Road, then take a left onto Rancho California Road. Follow this road for about 8 miles, which will take you through some scenic areas. Once you reach the intersection of Pala Road, you will need to turn right and continue for another 2 miles until you reach Canfield Road. Walk up Canfield Road for about 0.5 miles to find the Samuel Oschin Telescope. Be prepared for a long walk and wear comfortable shoes!
