Start at the center of Turlock, specifically from Turlock Town Square. Head east on Main St towards Lander Ave. Turn left onto Lander Ave and continue for about 2 miles. At the intersection, turn right onto W Tuolumne Rd and follow it for another 3 miles. This road will lead you directly towards Lake Rd. Turn left onto Lake Rd, and you will find the entrance to Turlock Lake State Rec Area on your right after approximately 1 mile.
