    To reach The 49ers Museum from Union City, start by walking to the nearest bus stop that services the AC Transit line. Board Bus Line 97 towards Hayward BART. Stay on the bus for 10 stops, which should take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Hayward BART station. From Hayward BART, transfer to the BART train heading towards Warm Springs/South Fremont. Ride the train for 4 stops and get off at the Santa Clara station. Once at Santa Clara station, exit and walk to the bus stop for the VTA Bus Line 10. Board the bus towards Great America and ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop for 4900 Marie P DeBartolo Way. The museum will be just a short walk from there.

  • Light Rail

    If you prefer using the light rail, start by walking to the nearest BART station. From there, take the BART train towards Warm Springs/South Fremont. After 4 stops, get off at the Santa Clara station. At the Santa Clara station, follow the signs to the VTA light rail. Board the VTA Light Rail Line 902 towards Baypointe. Stay on the light rail for 2 stops until you reach the Great America station. Exit the light rail, and it's about a 10-minute walk to The 49ers Museum from there, following the signs to the museum.

Turn left onto Montague and follow the road signs to 4900 Marie P DeBartolo Way. The 49ers Museum will be on your right. The total distance is approximately 15 miles and should take about 1 hour by bike.
