Getting There

Walking
From Venice Beach, head east on the Venice Boardwalk towards the main street. Continue until you reach Ocean Front Walk. Turn left onto Ocean Front Walk and walk until you reach Washington Blvd. Cross Washington Blvd and continue straight until you hit the intersection with Lincoln Blvd. Keep walking straight on Lincoln Blvd until you reach the Santa Monica Pier area. From there, you can catch the Metro Expo Line by heading to the nearby station at Colorado and 4th Street. Take the Metro Expo Line towards Downtown LA and get off at the 7th Street/Metro Center station. Transfer to the Red Line towards North Hollywood and get off at the Hollywood/Highland station. When you exit the station, follow the signs to Hollywood Blvd and walk to 6838 Hollywood Blvd. The El Capitan Theatre will be on your left.

Starting from Venice Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop on the corner of Venice Blvd and Lincoln Blvd. Board the Metro Bus Line 33 towards Downtown LA. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes and get off at the stop at 6th St & Broadway. From there, walk to the 7th Street/Metro Center station and transfer to the Red Line subway towards North Hollywood. Ride the subway for about 10 minutes and get off at the Hollywood/Highland station. Exit the station and walk east towards Hollywood Blvd, where you will find the El Capitan Theatre at 6838 Hollywood Blvd.
