Walking
From the Venice Beach Boardwalk, head east on Venice Blvd toward the intersection with Vista Del Mar. This is about a 30-minute walk. Once you reach Vista Del Mar, turn left. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with W Imperial Hwy. The El Segundo Blue Butterfly Preserve will be on your right at Vista Del Mar & W Imperial Hwy.

If you have access to a bike, start at Venice Beach and ride north along the bike path. Follow the path until you reach the intersection of Venice Blvd and Vista Del Mar. Turn left on Vista Del Mar and continue biking for about 10 minutes until you reach W Imperial Hwy. The El Segundo Blue Butterfly Preserve will be located at the intersection on your right.

To reach the El Segundo Blue Butterfly Preserve using public transportation, take the Metro Bus Line 33 from Venice Beach (the nearest stop is on Washington Blvd). Ride the bus towards the LAX City Bus Center. After about 20 minutes, get off at the stop at Vista Del Mar & W Imperial Hwy. From there, the El Segundo Blue Butterfly Preserve is just a short walk away.
