Walking
From Venice Beach, head east on Ocean Front Walk. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Washington Blvd. Turn left onto Washington Blvd and walk until you reach Lincoln Blvd. Cross Lincoln Blvd and continue straight onto Washington Blvd. Keep walking until you reach the entrance of the Santa Monica Bus Station. Here, you can catch the Metro Bus Line 704 towards North Hollywood. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Griffith Park / Observatory'. From there, follow the signs leading up to Griffith Observatory, which is a short walk uphill.

From Venice Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop on Pacific Ave and Windward Ave. Take the Big Blue Bus Line 1 towards Santa Monica. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the Santa Monica Bus Station. Transfer to the Metro Bus Line 704 towards North Hollywood. Ride for approximately 30 minutes and get off at 'Griffith Park / Observatory'. Follow the signs leading you to the Griffith Observatory, which is a short uphill walk from the bus stop.

The ride should take about 40 minutes, and you’ll have a scenic view of the area.
