From anywhere along Hermosa Beach, simply walk towards the center of the beach to Pier Avenue. The pier extends directly westward from the end of Pier Avenue. The entrance to the pier is at the end of Pier Avenue, where you'll find Pier Plaza.
Public Transport
Several bus lines serve the Hermosa Beach Pier area. Beach Cities Transit (BCT) Line 109 and Torrance Transit Line 13 have stops near the pier. From the nearest bus stop (e.g., Hermosa Ave & 11th St), walk towards Pier Avenue and then west to the pier entrance. A single fare on these lines typically costs around $1-$3. Check local transit schedules for the most up-to-date information and routes.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Use a ride-sharing service (Uber/Lyft) or taxi to get to 1 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach. Most drivers will be familiar with the pier. Ride-share services have designated pick-up and drop-off zones in downtown Hermosa Beach. A short ride from a nearby location (e.g., Redondo Beach Pier) will likely cost $10-$20.
Driving
Drive to Hermosa Beach and navigate to Pier Avenue. Be aware that parking can be challenging, especially during peak season. Metered street parking is available, costing $2.00-$2.50 per hour.
