Walking
If you are starting at the Venice Beach Boardwalk, walk north on Ocean Front Walk until you reach the end of the boardwalk. Continue straight on Ocean Front Walk until it meets Ocean Avenue. Turn left onto Ocean Avenue. Walk for about 1 mile (approximately 20 minutes on foot). You will see the entrance to Palisades Park on your left, just before you hit Santa Monica Pier.

If you have a bike rental, start at the Venice Beach Boardwalk and head north along the bike path. Follow the bike path which will take you along the beach. After about 1 mile, you will reach Santa Monica. As you approach the pier, look for the signs that direct you to Palisades Park, which is located just north of the Santa Monica Pier.

From any location in Venice Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop on Venice Boulevard. Take the Metro Bus 33 heading towards Santa Monica. Ride the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes until you reach the Santa Monica Transit Center. From the Transit Center, walk north on 4th Street until you reach Ocean Avenue.
