Walking
If you are in the heart of Venice Beach, head east towards Pacific Avenue and walk towards Venice Boulevard. Turn left on Venice Boulevard and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Lincoln Boulevard. Take a right onto Lincoln Boulevard and continue walking until you reach the bus stop for the Metro 33 or 733 bus at the corner of Lincoln and Washington Blvd. Here, you will board the bus heading towards Downtown Los Angeles. Stay on the bus for about 30-40 minutes until you reach the stop at 7th St/Metro Center. From there, transfer to the Metro Blue Line towards Washington Station and get off at the 7th Street/Metro Center Station. Finally, walk 0.6 miles east on 7th Street until you reach Chick Hearn Court, where Peacock Theater is located.

Public Transport
From Venice Beach, walk to the Venice/Sunset bus stop and take the Big Blue Bus Route 1 towards Santa Monica. After about 10 minutes, get off at the Santa Monica Transit Center. Here, transfer to the Metro Expo Line towards Downtown LA. Ride the train for approximately 30-35 minutes until you reach the 7th Street/Metro Center Station. Once you arrive, walk 0.6 miles east along 7th Street to reach Peacock Theater located at 777 Chick Hearn Ct.

If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bike from one of the bike rental stations in Venice Beach. Start by heading east on Ocean Front Walk until you reach the bike path. Follow the bike path to Washington Blvd and take a left. Continue on Washington Blvd until you reach Lincoln Blvd, then take a right. Ride straight on Lincoln Blvd until you reach the Metro 33 bus stop at Washington Blvd. Here, you can either continue biking or catch the bus towards Downtown LA. If you choose to continue biking, follow Lincoln Blvd which will lead you directly to the downtown area. Once you reach 7th Street, head east for about 0.6 miles to arrive at Chick Hearn Ct.
