Walking
From Venice Beach, head east on Windward Avenue until you reach the intersection with Pacific Avenue. Turn right onto Pacific Avenue and continue walking until you reach the Venice Boardwalk. Walk along the boardwalk towards the north until you reach the end of the boardwalk. From there, you will need to catch a bus. Look for the Metro Bus Stop at the corner of Pacific Avenue and Washington Boulevard. Take the Metro Line 733 towards 'North Hollywood Station.' Stay on the bus for about 35 minutes, and then get off at the Universal City stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs to Universal Studios and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is located at 100 Universal City Plaza.

If you're up for biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Venice Beach. Start by heading east on Windward Avenue towards Pacific Avenue. Turn right onto Pacific Avenue and continue until you reach the Venice Boardwalk. Ride north along the boardwalk until it ends at Washington Boulevard.
