    From anywhere within Marina Park, Soter's Point is easily accessible by foot. Follow the paved path south from the main playground area. The walk is short and offers pleasant views of the park and harbor. The mermaid statue is a distinctive landmark, making Soter's Point easy to find.

    The Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) Route 6 bus has stops near Marina Park. From the nearest bus stop on Pierpont Boulevard, walk south into Marina Park. Follow the paved path towards the harbor; Soter's Point is at the southernmost point of the park. VCTC bus fares are typically around $1.75 for a single ride.

    From the 101 Freeway, take the Ventura Avenue exit and head towards the coast. Continue on Ventura Avenue until you reach Pierpont Boulevard. Turn left onto Pierpont Boulevard, and Marina Park will be on your left at 2950 Pierpont Blvd. Parking at Marina Park is free. Be aware that parking may be limited during peak hours.

Soter's Point is a charming feature within Marina Park, located at the southernmost tip of the park. This picturesque spot provides stunning views overlooking the Ventura Harbor. The area was dedicated in 2011 and is the result of a public-private partnership to beautify the community. The highlight of Soter's Point is the Mermaid of Soter Point, a 15-foot mermaid statue. The statue was donated by Alec and Tatyana Benke, Russian emigrants, as a symbol of their love for the United States. Andy Soter developed and landscaped the area in memory of his daughter, Andrea. The statue is intended to be a fountain, though it is not currently operational. Marina Park itself offers a wide range of activities. Visitors can enjoy the large open grassy area, perfect for picnics, playing frisbee, or simply relaxing in the sun. A safe and well-maintained play area delights children, and a pathway leads out toward the Ventura Harbor jetty. The park also provides access to the beach, where you can swim, surf, or simply stroll along the shore.
