Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from downtown Ventura. Head east on Main Street, then take a left onto Ventura Avenue (CA-33). Continue on Ventura Avenue until you reach the intersection with Foothill Road. Turn right onto Foothill Road, which will take you uphill. After about a mile, you will see a sign for Serra Cross Park. Turn left into the parking area. Note that parking is free, but the area can get crowded on weekends.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) bus line 6, which runs through Ventura County. Board the bus at a stop convenient to you and ride until you reach the stop at Ventura Avenue & Foothill Road. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk to Serra Cross. Head east on Foothill Road, then follow the signs leading up to the park. Be prepared for a steep incline.

• Bicycle

  If you're biking, start from Ventura's downtown area and head toward Ventura Avenue. Follow the same route as cars by riding on Ventura Avenue (CA-33) towards Foothill Road. The ride is approximately 2 miles uphill. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules. There are bike racks available at the parking area near Serra Cross.

• Walking

  If you're in close proximity and prefer to walk, start from downtown Ventura. Walk east on Main Street, turn left onto Ventura Avenue, and walk towards Foothill Road. Once you reach Foothill Road, you'll need to walk uphill for about a mile. The walk is steep, so be prepared for a moderate workout. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially on warm days.
