If you prefer a scenic route, consider biking or walking from Walnut Creek. Start at the Iron Horse Trail, heading towards the south. Follow the trail until it connects to the Alamo Creek Trail, which leads into the downtown area of Lafayette. From there, navigate towards the BART station to catch a train to San Francisco. Once in the city, continue biking or walking towards the Presidio area, following signs towards the Golden Gate Promenade. It’s about a 1.5-hour bike ride or a longer walk, but the views along the way are worth it.
