    Getting There

    Public Transit

    From Walnut Creek BART Station, take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Embarcadero Station. Transfer to the Muni Metro at the Embarcadero Station, and take the N-Judah line towards Ocean Beach. After about 25 minutes, get off at the Bay and Park Stop. From there, walk approximately 15 minutes north-west towards the Golden Gate Promenade until you reach Crissy Field Marsh.

    Bus

    From Walnut Creek, take the County Connection Bus Route 4 towards the Pleasant Hill BART Station. Once at the BART station, board a BART train heading towards San Francisco. After arriving at the Montgomery Street Station, transfer to the Muni Bus Route 28 towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Get off at the stop closest to the Golden Gate Promenade, and walk approximately 10 minutes to Crissy Field Marsh.

    Walking/Biking

    If you prefer a scenic route, consider biking or walking from Walnut Creek. Start at the Iron Horse Trail, heading towards the south. Follow the trail until it connects to the Alamo Creek Trail, which leads into the downtown area of Lafayette. From there, navigate towards the BART station to catch a train to San Francisco. Once in the city, continue biking or walking towards the Presidio area, following signs towards the Golden Gate Promenade. It’s about a 1.5-hour bike ride or a longer walk, but the views along the way are worth it.
