    Getting There

    Public Transit

    From Walnut Creek BART station, take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Stay on the train for about 30 minutes and get off at the Civic Center station. After exiting the station, walk east on McAllister St for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Van Ness Ave. Turn left on Van Ness Ave and walk for 0.5 miles. Then turn right onto Hayes St, which will lead you directly into Hayes Valley. You will find various shops, restaurants, and attractions along this vibrant street.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local shop in Walnut Creek. Start your ride on the Iron Horse Trail heading south towards Pleasant Hill. After about 2 miles, exit at the Pleasant Hill BART station and continue to the BART station. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Civic Center station. Once you exit, ride east on McAllister St and follow the directions above to Hayes Valley.

    Walking

    If you are up for a walk, you can start at the Walnut Creek BART station and head south on N Main St. Continue walking for approximately 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Ygnacio Valley Rd. Cross the street and continue straight onto San Luis Rd. Keep walking for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Civic Dr. Turn right and head towards the BART station. Once at Civic Center BART, follow the public transit instructions to reach Hayes Valley.
