Walking
If you are starting from downtown Walnut Creek, make your way to Main Street. Head north towards the intersection with Mt. Diablo Blvd. Continue walking straight on Mt. Diablo Blvd until you reach the intersection with Ygnacio Valley Road. Turn left onto Ygnacio Valley Road and walk until you reach the entrance of the Walnut Creek Open Space. Enter the Open Space and follow the trail signs towards the Jeep Trail. You'll be walking through beautiful natural scenery. Once you reach the Jeep Trail, continue on the path until you find the Memorial bench, which is a short distance along the trail.
Public Transportation
From the Walnut Creek BART station, exit towards Ygnacio Valley Road. Board the bus number 6 towards the 'Ygnacio Valley' direction. Get off at the stop near the entrance to the Walnut Creek Open Space. Walk into the Open Space and follow the trail signs to the Jeep Trail. Once you get to Jeep Trail, walk along the path until you find the Memorial bench.
