Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Santa Monica Pier, walk east on Colorado Avenue until you reach 5th Street. Turn left on 5th Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Wilshire Boulevard. From there, you can catch the Big Blue Bus #7 or #10 towards downtown Los Angeles. Ride for about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop near Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave. From there, it is a short walk to the Dolby Theatre located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd, which is just a couple of blocks away.

  • Public Transport

    From the Santa Monica Civic Center, walk to the nearest bus stop at Santa Monica Blvd and 4th Street. Catch the Big Blue Bus #2 towards the Westwood area. After approximately 20 minutes, transfer to the Metro Expo Line at the Culver City station. Take the train towards Downtown LA and get off at the Expo/Crenshaw station. From there, transfer to the Metro Red Line towards North Hollywood. Ride for about 25 minutes and get off at the Hollywood/Highland station. The Dolby Theatre is a short walk from the station, located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd.

    If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bike from one of the Santa Monica bike share stations. Head east on the bike path along the beach until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and continue until you reach Colorado Avenue. Turn right on Colorado Avenue and follow it until you reach the intersection with 5th Street. From there, continue straight until you spot the Big Blue Bus stop. You can board the bus #7 or #10 towards downtown Los Angeles. Once you arrive at Hollywood Blvd, it's a short walk to the Dolby Theatre at 6801 Hollywood Blvd.
