Getting There

  • Shuttle

    The most convenient way to reach Sentinel Bridge is via the free Yosemite Valley shuttle. Take either the Valleywide or East Valley Shuttle and get off at Shuttle Stop #11. From the shuttle stop, it's a short walk across the street to the bridge. The shuttle runs frequently throughout the day, with buses arriving every 12-22 minutes on the Valleywide route and every 8-12 minutes on the East Valley route from 7 am to 10 pm. There is no cost to ride the shuttle.

  • Walking

    If you're already in Yosemite Valley, walking to Sentinel Bridge is a great option. From Yosemite Village, follow the paved path along the Merced River towards Cook's Meadow. The walk is approximately 1 mile and offers stunning views of Half Dome and Yosemite Falls. Once you reach Cook's Meadow, continue along the path until you reach Sentinel Bridge. There are no costs associated with walking.

  • Driving

    If driving, enter Yosemite Valley on Southside Drive. Sentinel Bridge is located just after the Yosemite Chapel. Limited parking is available near the bridge, but it fills up quickly, especially during peak season. Parking is free, but availability is not guaranteed. As an alternative, park at the Yosemite Village day-use parking lot and walk to the bridge. Keep in mind that reservations may be required to enter Yosemite National Park during certain times of the year.
