Getting There

  • Hiking

    From Yosemite Village, head towards the Mist Trail. Follow the signs for Happy Isles and the Mist Trail. The trail will take you along the Merced River and up towards Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall. Once you reach the junction at the top of Nevada Fall, take the John Muir Trail that leads away from the falls. Follow this trail for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Glacier Point Road. From here, you will have a view of Washburn Point in the distance. Continue walking along the road to reach your destination, which is about 1 mile further on the road.

  • Shuttle

    From Yosemite Village, you can take the Yosemite Shuttle (check the current shuttle schedule for timings). Take the shuttle towards Glacier Point. Get off at the Glacier Point stop. From there, you will need to hike approximately 1 mile along the Glacier Point Road to reach Washburn Point. The walk will offer stunning views along the way.
