Walking
If you are starting from the Kampot Riverside area, head east along the riverfront promenade until you reach the main road, Street 2. Turn right onto Street 2 and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will pass a local market on your left. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Street 3. At this intersection, turn left. The Lok Yeay Mao Monument will be visible a short distance ahead on your right side. It's a tall monument, so it should be easy to spot.
Bicycle
From the Kampot market area, rent a bicycle and head east on Street 2. Continue along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several small shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the junction with Street 3; turn left here. After a short ride, you will see the Lok Yeay Mao Monument on your right. There's a small parking area where you can leave your bike safely.
Tuk-Tuk
From your hotel or guesthouse, ask a tuk-tuk driver to take you to the Lok Yeay Mao Monument. Most drivers in Kampot are familiar with this landmark. If they are unsure, you can tell them it's near the intersection of Street 2 and Street 3. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic, and you can enjoy the local scenery along the way.
