Travel Guide to Fish Island Bungalows

Getting There

• Bicycle

  From the center of Kampot, head southeast on Street 726. Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Street 12. Continue straight for another 2 kilometers, passing the Kampot River on your left. Look for signs pointing towards 'Fish Island'. After reaching the bridge, park your bicycle on the side and take the ferry across to Fish Island. The bungalows will be a short walk from the ferry dock.

• Motorbike

  Starting from the Kampot market, head south on Street 2. After about 800 meters, turn right onto Street 726 and follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Street 12 and continue for around 2 kilometers. As you approach the river, keep an eye out for signs indicating Fish Island. You will need to park your motorbike and take a short ferry ride across the river to reach the bungalows.

• Tuk-tuk

  If you are starting from the Kampot Riverfront area, hire a tuk-tuk and ask the driver to take you to Fish Island. The driver will take you along Street 726 and then onto Street 12. After about 5 kilometers, they will drop you off at the ferry terminal. From there, you will need to take a ferry across the river; it’s advisable to confirm with the driver about the ferry schedule. Once you arrive on Fish Island, the bungalows are a short walk away.

• Walking

  For those adventurous enough to walk, start from the central market area in Kampot. Head south on Street 2 for about 800 meters, then turn right onto Street 726. Walk along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. Continue straight onto Street 12, following it as it leads you towards the river. The total distance is about 5 kilometers, and once you reach the ferry terminal, you will need to take a quick ferry ride across to Fish Island. After crossing, follow the path to the bungalows.
