My tour guide, Kakada, was informative, funny, and welcoming. He provided additional cultural information for many of the dishes, and shared personal stories about his life in Cambodia. I highly recommend the half-day Phnom Penh food tour for more adventurous travellers who want to visit and eat beyond the normal tourist stir-fry and amok restaurants.

Great way to learn about Cambodian food

This gave you a great smorgasbord of Cambodian food, as well as insight into how Cambodians enjoy their food and their lives in general. You'll travel to several spots by tuk tuk which you probably wouldn't find on your own and try a range of great foods from noodle soups to bahn xeo to curry. You end up at a dessert stall at the market where you'll learn about the various desserts and pick some to try at an out of the way bar with a great view. Well worth it.

Due to NO fault of the tour guide, but I didn’t make the tour. I had an earlier tour that day and by the evening, I was exhausted and had back pains. I generally enjoy these tours and sorry I missed it.
