Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Siem Reap. Head towards the Angkor Archaeological Park entrance, which is about 6-7 kilometers away from the city center. Follow the road signs to Angkor Park. Once inside the park, follow the path to Phnom Bakheng, which is well marked. It's a lovely ride, but be prepared for some uphill cycling as you approach the temple.

If you are feeling adventurous and are staying nearby, you can walk to Phnom Bakheng. Start from the city center and head west towards the entrance of Angkor Archaeological Park. It’s approximately a 7-8 kilometer walk and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the main road and look for signs directing you to the park entrance. Once inside, you’ll need to walk a little further to reach the temple, which is situated on a hill.
