Car
From Tbong Khmum, head south on National Road 7. Continue for approximately 20 kilometers. You'll see signs for Phnom Hanchey directing you to turn left onto a smaller road. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the base of the mountain. There is a parking area designated for visitors at the entrance. Note that there may be a small parking fee of around $1.
Public Transportation (Bus/Minivan)
First, catch a bus or minivan from the central bus station in Tbong Khmum heading towards Kampong Cham. The fare should be around $1-2. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the turn-off for Phnom Hanchey. After approximately 30-40 minutes, you will reach the turn-off. From there, you will need to hire a moto-taxi or tuk-tuk for the final 5 kilometers to the base of Phnom Hanchey, which will cost about $3-5.
Moto-Taxi or Tuk-Tuk
If you are already near the turn-off for Phnom Hanchey, you can hire a moto-taxi or tuk-tuk from that point. The journey to the base of the mountain will take about 10-15 minutes and will cost approximately $3-5. Ensure to negotiate the price before starting your ride.
