Train tickets from Yaoundé to Ngaoundéré range from CFA 15,000 to CFA 30,000 depending on the class.
Car
Alternatively, you can drive from Yaoundé to Ngaoundéré, a journey of approximately 1,034 km that takes around 17-19 hours. Be prepared for potentially poor road conditions on certain stretches. Fuel costs for the trip can range from CFA 55,000 to CFA 85,000. There are no specific tolls on the route to Ngaoundéré.
Taxi
Within Ngaoundéré, taxis and moto-taxis (motorcycle taxis) are readily available for getting around. Negotiate the fare before you start your journey. A typical taxi fare within the city should be between CFA 500 and CFA 1,000.
