Getting There

  • Car

    From Banyang Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary, drive south towards the town of Dschang. Follow the main road, which should take you approximately 2 hours. Once you reach Dschang, take the direction towards the town of Bafang. After about 30 minutes, you will come across a sign for Mesaka. Turn onto the road leading to Mesaka. Drive for about 20 minutes; you will see signs for the Bakossi Mountains Wildlife Preserve. The preserve is located at the coordinates 3H2F+42, Mesaka. Make sure to have a map application ready to help with navigation.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Bakossi Mountains Wildlife Preserve via public transport, first take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Banyang Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary to Dschang. The ride will take about 2 hours. Upon arrival in Dschang, look for taxi-brousses heading towards Bafang. Once you reach Bafang, you need to find another taxi-brousse heading to Mesaka. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Bakossi Mountains Wildlife Preserve, which is located at coordinates 3H2F+42, Mesaka.
