From the central area of Mamfe, head southwest towards Avenue de la Réunification. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Rue de la Poste. Turn right onto Rue de la Poste and walk towards the outskirts of the town. Follow the road as it transitions into a dirt path. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will reach the village of Beka. From Beka, ask locals for directions to the Banyang Mbo Protected Area, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the village center. Follow the well-trodden paths leading toward the protected area, and look for signs or ask for assistance from local guides.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Mamfe. Start your journey by cycling southwest towards Avenue de la Réunification. Continue straight until you reach the Rue de la Poste. Turn right and proceed along the road, which may turn into a dirt path. Keep cycling for about 3 kilometers until you arrive in the village of Beka. Once in Beka, inquire with locals for the best route to the Banyang Mbo Protected Area. The protected area is about 5 kilometers from Beka, and you may have to navigate some unpaved paths, so be prepared for a bit of a rugged ride.
Motorbike Taxi
In Mamfe, find a motorbike taxi, which is a common and convenient mode of transport. Negotiate your fare and request to be taken to Banyang Mbo Protected Area. The driver will likely take you through Avenue de la Réunification and continue towards the outskirts of town. The journey should take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach the vicinity of Beka, you can ask the driver to drop you off at a point where local guides can assist you in reaching the protected area, which is approximately 5 kilometers away.
