Chutes de la Lobé is a unique and stunning waterfall in Cameroon, where the Lobé River dramatically cascades directly into the Atlantic Ocean. Located near the coastal town of Kribi, it's a breathtaking natural attraction and one of the few places in the world where a river empties directly into the sea.

Walking
From the central area of Kribi, walk towards the main road alongside the beach. Continue until the roundabout, then take the exit towards 'Route des Chutes'. Follow this road, and after about 2 kilometers, you'll see signs for Chutes de la Lobé. Follow the signs to the entrance. Moto-taxis are also available for around CFA 500-1500.
Public Transport
From Yaoundé, take a bush taxi to Ebolowa (2-3 hours, CFA 2,000-3,000). Then, switch to another bush taxi heading to Kribi. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Chutes de la Lobé junction, about 20 km from Ebolowa. From there, it's approximately a 3 km walk to the waterfall. Ensure you have cash for taxi fares. Alternatively, take a shared taxi or bus from Lobe Waterfalls to Kribi. Inform the driver you wish to disembark at Chutes de la Lobe. The fare is usually around 1,500 CFA francs per person.
Car
From Yaoundé, take the N3 road south towards Ebolowa. After about 100 km, keep left on the N10 road towards Kribi. Continue for about 20 km until you see signs for Chutes de la Lobé. Follow the signs to the parking area near the waterfall. Parking fee is around 1,000 CFA francs.
