Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Yaoundé, the capital city of Cameroon. Take the N3 highway heading towards Douala. After about 130 km, exit onto the A2 highway towards Limbe/Buea. Continue on the A2 for approximately 30 km. As you approach Buea, follow signs that lead you to Mile 15. The waterfall is located at coordinates 4.1559658 latitude and 9.2632243 longitude. You may need to park your car at a nearby designated area and walk the last few hundred meters to reach the waterfall, which is a short hike from the main road.
Public Transportation
To reach Mile 15 waterfall via public transportation, start by taking a bus or taxi from Yaoundé to Buea. The journey typically takes about 3 to 4 hours. Once in Buea, ask to be dropped off at Mile 15. From there, you will likely need to hire a local motorcycle taxi (commonly known as 'bendskin') to take you closer to the waterfall. Expect to pay around 500 to 1000 CFA francs for the motorcycle ride. After being dropped off, there will be a short hike to the waterfall.
Walking
If you are already in Buea, you can walk to Mile 15 waterfall. Start at the Buea town center and head towards Mile 15 using local roads. It's about a 5 km walk, which should take you around 1 to 1.5 hours. Follow the main road, and ask locals for directions as needed. The pathway becomes more rugged as you approach the waterfall, so wear comfortable shoes.
