Founded in March 1998 by Her Majesty Ngo Nab Fô I Nana Agnès Sunjio, the museum officially opened its doors in 2008.The museum's collection comprises over 2,070 works of art, primarily from the Fang Beti and Grassfields ethnic groups. Visitors can explore a variety of artifacts, including statues, masks, vessels, musical instruments, paintings, and royal furniture. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and offers educational programs, workshops, and guided tours to promote a deeper understanding of African heritage.The Blackitude Museum is more than just a repository of art objects; it's a hub for education and community engagement.
