Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Yaoundé, which is the capital of Cameroon. Take the N6 road heading east towards Ngoumou. Continue on this road for approximately 60 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the D29 road. Turn left onto D29 and follow it for about 30 kilometers. When you reach the town of Lensi, you will see signs leading to Deng Deng National Park. The park entrance is located at the coordinates 9C2R+6MF, Lensi. Ensure you have a GPS or a reliable map app for navigation.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, head to the main bus station in Yaoundé. Look for buses that head towards Bertoua or Ngoumou, as these routes typically pass through Lensi. The fare is around 2,500 CFA francs (approximately $4). Once you arrive in Lensi, you can take a motorcycle taxi (known locally as 'benskin') to the park entrance. The motorcycle taxi fare should be around 1,000 CFA francs (approximately $1.50). It's advisable to confirm the price before starting your journey.
Motorcycle Taxi
If you're already in Lensi, you can hire a motorcycle taxi directly to Deng Deng National Park. The ride should take about 15 to 20 minutes, covering the distance of approximately 10 kilometers to the park entrance. Always negotiate the fare beforehand; it typically costs around 1,000 CFA francs (approximately $1.50). Ensure the driver is familiar with the park entrance location to avoid any confusion.
