Bois Sainte Anastasie, inaugurated in 2007, provides a welcome escape from Yaoundé's hectic pace. This park, located at the Warda intersection, is named after the mother of Cameroon's president, Paul Biya. For over forty years, Biya has been the president.The park features tall trees, manicured lawns, and walkways bisected by the Ekozoa River. Pedestrian bridges span the creek, which transforms into a torrent of water during the rainy season. Bois Sainte Anastasie also has a restaurant serving local cuisine. It's a popular spot for families, couples, and solo travelers seeking tranquility.Visitors can wander through the sculpture park, relax by the river, or enjoy a meal at the restaurant. The park is open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM. It is a place to experience nature, admire art, and savor Cameroonian flavors.
