Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the Garoua city center, near the main market (Marché de Garoua). Head north along Avenue de l'Indépendance for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Réunification. Turn left onto Rue de la Réunification and continue walking for approximately 500 meters. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. At the next major junction, turn right onto Avenue des Martyrs and walk for another 1 kilometer. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit towards Bockle (Avenue de Bockle). After about 1.5 kilometers, you will see signs for Les Berges de la Benoué on your left. Follow the signs, and in a short walk, you will arrive at the destination.

• Taxi

  From any location in Garoua, find a local taxi or motorbike taxi (benskin) and tell the driver you want to go to Les Berges de la Benoué in Bockle. Most drivers will know this location. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off near the intersection of Avenue de Bockle, where you will see signs leading to Les Berges de la Benoué. If you are unsure, confirm with the driver about the drop-off point.

• Bicycle

  If you are renting a bicycle, start from the Garoua city center and head towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Cycle north for about 1 kilometer, then turn left onto Rue de la Réunification. Continue cycling for 500 meters, then turn right onto Avenue des Martyrs. Keep cycling straight for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenue de Bockle and continue cycling for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Les Berges de la Benoué on your left and follow them to your destination.
