Car

If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Garoua, which is the largest city in the North Region. Head east on the N1 highway towards the town of Boboyo. The distance is approximately 120 kilometers and will take around 2 hours. Once you reach Boboyo, look for signs for Lac aux Crocodiles, which is located just outside the town. The lake is situated at latitude 10.157219 and longitude 14.4008335. There are dirt roads leading to the lake, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended if you plan to approach directly.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take a bush taxi from Garoua to Boboyo. These taxis leave from the main station and the fare is typically around 2000 CFA francs. The journey may take around 3 hours depending on stops and traffic. Once you arrive in Boboyo, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (also known as 'benskin') to take you to Lac aux Crocodiles for about 1000 CFA francs. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride.

Walking

If you're already in Boboyo, you can walk to Lac aux Crocodiles. It is approximately 5 kilometers from the town center. Head southeast from the main road and follow the local paths; ask locals for directions to ensure you stay on the right track. Walking may take about 1 hour, so be prepared with water and proper footwear.
