Car
From Banyang Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary, head south on the main road towards Limbe. After approximately 45 km, you'll reach a junction; follow signs towards Limbe, then take the road to Buea. After about 15 km, look for signs for Muanenguba Twin Lake. The total drive takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions. Be aware that the road to the lakes, especially the last 5km from Poala, can be rugged. Parking is available near the lakes. There are no tolls on this route.
Public Transportation
From Banyang Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary, take a taxi or motorbike taxi to the nearest bus station in Limbe (about 45 km); this should cost around 2,500 CFA francs. From Limbe, take a bus to Buea (approximately 1,000 CFA francs). In Buea, take another taxi or motorbike taxi to Muanenguba Twin Lake, which may cost around 2,000 CFA francs. The entire journey could take 2-3 hours, depending on waiting times and traffic.
Walking
After arriving in Poala, you may need to hike a short distance to reach the lakes. From the town center, follow local signs or ask for directions to the lakes. The terrain can be rugged, so sturdy shoes and water are advisable. This hike usually takes about 30 minutes. A local guide can enhance your experience.
